The skinny: Following Seattle's six-game winning streak in the series from 2003-05, San Francisco has won the past three, four of six and seven of 12. The Niners swept the season series last year for first time since 2006. San Francisco is coming off its most lopsided loss in coach Jim Harbaugh's two seasons. Seattle's Marshawn Lynch ran for 107 yards in the last meeting as San Francisco's streak of not allowing a 100-yard rusher ended at 36 games, dating to Ryan Grant's 129 yards for Green Bay on Nov. 22, 2009.

Key stat: Lynch is the top rusher in NFC and No. 3 in the NFL. Notes: Seattle's defense gave up a season-high 475 yards to New England after not allowing more than 300 in first five. ...
