Thursday night football

SEATTLE (4-2) at SAN FRANCISCO (4-2)

Time, TV: 8:20 p.m., NFL Network

Line: 49ers by 7 1/2

The skinny: Following Seattle's six-game winning streak in the series from 2003-05, San Francisco has won the past three, four of six and seven of 12. The Niners swept the season series last year for first time since 2006. San Francisco is coming off its most lopsided loss in coach Jim Harbaugh's two seasons. Seattle's Marshawn Lynch ran for 107 yards in the last meeting as San Francisco's streak of not allowing a 100-yard rusher ended at 36 games, dating to Ryan Grant's 129 yards for Green Bay on Nov. 22, 2009.

Key stat: Lynch is the top rusher in NFC and No. 3 in the NFL. Notes: Seattle's defense gave up a season-high 475 yards to New England after not allowing more than 300 in first five. ... Eight of David Akers' single-season record 44 field goals for the Niners last season were against Seattle. ... 49ers QB Alex Smith was sacked four times last week in a 26-3 home loss to the Giants. ... Harbaugh has won the past four head-to-heads with Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, dating to college.
