Webb lone unsigned sixth-rounder

The fact the Denver Broncos signed sixth-round center Eric Olsen to a four-year contract Saturday means that quarterback Joe Webb is the only remaining unsigned pick from that round.
One would expect a deal with Webb should get done in the coming days and it's uncertain why something hasn't already been worked out. Webb was drafted by the Vikings with the intention that he would be moved to wide receiver. However, he was so impressive when given an opportunity to throw during a portion of the team's rookie camp that the decision was made to leave him at quarterback.
The 199th pick of the draft, Webb is sandwiched between Carolina wide receiver David Gettis, who received a four-year, $1.9 million deal that included a $94,000 signing bonus, and Philadelphia running back Charles Scott, who signed a four-year, $1.8 million deal that included a $91,000 signing bonus.
The Vikings also have one of the three remaining unsigned seventh-round picks from the draft. That would be tight end Mickey Shuler, who was taken at No. 214 overall. The players immediately above and below Shuler are signed so getting that done wouldn't seem to be a big issue.
The Vikings did sign their other seventh-round pick, fullback Ryan D'Imperio, shortly after the draft. D'Imperio is one of two of the Vikings eight picks to come to terms. The other is fifth-round linebacker Nate Triplett, who played for the Gophers.
With players set to report to training camp on Thursday and open practice Friday, the Vikings also still need to sign second-round selections Chris Cook (cornerback) and Toby Gerhart (running back); fourth-round pick Everson Griffen (defensive end) and fifth-rounder Chris DeGeare (offensive lineman).
