Report: Raiders are lead candidate to land McNabb

Donovan McNabb might want to play for the Vikings, but it appears he could end up in Oakland.

ESPN reported on its website Monday that the Raiders have emerged as the leading candidate to land the Eagles quarterback in a trade. Word that McNabb might be moved has been circulating since last week when Eagles coach Andy Reid made it clear the team was listening to offers at the NFL owners meetings in Orlando.

McNabb reportedly told the Eagles his first choice was to play in Minnesota, but the Vikings are waiting for Brett Favre to make up his mind about whether he will return and so far team officials have made it clear they are putting no pressure on the future Hall of Famer.

The St. Louis Rams were among the potential destinations reported for McNabb but from all accounts Oklahoma's Sam Bradford put on an impressive performance at his Pro Day on Monday. It would not be surprising if the Rams have turned their attention toward Bradford.
