McNabb doesn't appear to be on Vikings' radar

Rumors that the Eagles will deal quarterback Donovan McNabb have intensified the past two days with teams like the Rams and Raiders being mentioned as possible landing spots. (The Rams said Thursday they are not in the mix.)
There was a time before Brett Favre arrived in Minnesota when the Vikings also almost certainly would have been considered to be interested in McNabb. The relationship between Vikings coach Brad Childress and McNabb has been well documented, with Childress being in his first year as an assistant in Philadelphia when McNabb arrived as the second-overall pick in the 1999 draft. Childress was the Eagles' quarterbacks coach at the time and would later become offensive coordinator.
The Vikings, however, clearly are waiting for Favre to decide if he will return and it appears they won't get involved in the McNabb talks. In fact, an NFL source said this week at the NFL owners meetings in Orlando that while McNabb almost certainly would be dealt, the Vikings would not be in the mix.
