ORLANDO -- Brad Childress has answered so many Brett Favre-related questions this offseason that the Vikings coach didn't have to field a single query about his quarterback for several minutes at the NFC coaches breakfast Wednesday morning at the NFL owners meetings.
When asked for an update on Favre, Childress said: "I don't know if he's out of bed yet or I don't know if he's in Hattiesburg. It's just the same as it has been really. I just don’t know. I told these guys before, in this business you have to be able to deal with uncertainty and ambiguity because that’s what this is about.”
Childress called the Favre situation, "the story that keeps on giving," adding, "it gives you guys something to at least ... when you put your ideas down on your thin pad it makes your one through five list if you're talking to me or you're talking to somebody from the Vikings."
