While waiting for LaDainian Tomlinson and Vikings officials to finish their meal Wednesday evening in downtown Minneapolis, we learned that the team's lone remaining unrestricted free agent, Jimmy Kennedy, had set up a visit Thursday with the Buffalo Bills. NFL.com was the first to report the story.
Kennedy has turned into a nice backup at defensive tackle behind Kevin and Pat Williams since joining the Vikings in early December 2008. But it's possible Kennedy is looking for a bigger pay day and more playing time (possibly both) than what the Vikings are willing to offer.
Before joining the Vikings, Kennedy had made stops in St. Louis, Denver, Chicago and Jacksonville. A first-round pick of the Rams in 2003, Kennedy has been considered a bust by many before joining the Vikings.
