Writer chronicles night out with McKinnie

Bryant McKinnie received unflattering national media attention last week when he was dismissed from the Pro Bowl for missing practices and meetings.

McKinnie countered by saying he was hurt and was trying to pull out of the event. But the Vikings left tackle also made no secret of his late-night partying in his hometown by chronicling it on Twitter. McKinnie was defiant about the negative attention he received when he spoke with reporters at the Super Bowl media center on Thursday.

Miami Herald columnist Dan Le Batard wanted to see McKinnie's partying first hand and McKinnie surprisingly allowed him to tag along one night this week. Le Batard offers some interesting details, including that fact McKInnie spent $20,000 for 36 bottles of champagne that night.

Here is the entire column.

We know that some people will argue that this is not a story but frankly we're stunned that McKinnie would agree to let a writer hang out with him, particularly in light of the Pro Bowl fiasco.
