Mark Craig of our paper reported that Vikings left tackle Bryant McKinnie has been dismissed from the NFC Pro Bowl roster. Check out Mark's blog for the latest.
You would think a guy who was suspended for four games at the start of the 2008 season for violating the NFL's personal conduct and who was involved in the "Love Boat" incident in 2005 wouldn't want to tick off commissioner Roger Goodell.
So do the Vikings take this as another sign that they need to consider their options at left tackle? Phil Loadholt could certainly make the transition and the 2009 second-round pick seems to have the type of mean streak that McKinnie lacks on the field.
Here's the latest McKinnie tweet on it: "Had 2 withdraw from Pro Bowl! I've been playing thru pain the last month and need time 2 let my body heal."
