Leslie Frazier said last week that he put zero stock in the fact it was being reported that he was the front-runner to become head coach of the Buffalo Bills. Turns out the Vikings defensive coordinator had good reason for feeling that way.

The Bills introduced Chan Gailey as their new head coach on Tuesday, meaning that for now all NFL head coaching jobs are filled. It is interesting it has been reported that Bills General Manager Buddy Nix was eager to find someone with previous head-coaching experience and with an offensive background.

Frazier did not qualify on either count, if you're talking NFL experience. He has interviewed for seven jobs in the past three years but has been either a position coach or coordinator in the league. Frazier also is a guy who has made his name on the defensive side of the ball.

There has been speculation that Frazier turned down the Bills but I'm told that is definitely not the case. Frazier had one interview with the Bills.

Frazier, who also is the Vikings assistant head coach, might not get a job this year, but Vikings coach Brad Childress believes it's only a matter of time.

"It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when," Childress told Sirius NFL Radio on Tuesday. "He's going to get the opportunity, and I know he believes things happen for a reason and he's highly, highly qualified and highly thought of here. He does a great job."

Frazier interviewed with the Bills two weeks ago and also talked to Seattle during the week the Vikings did not play. Pete Carroll got the Seahawks job. Childress said Frazier's interviews came during days the coaching staff had off and created no distractions. "If you know anything about Les, he's as focused a man as you are ever going to find," Childress said.

Childress also said during his weekly spot on Sirius that defensive end Ray Edwards (sprained knee) spent about seven hours at the Vikings' Winter Park facility on Tuesday. Players were off Tuesday but Edwards was in to great treatment.

One final note. Linebacker Erin Henderson, who was suspended for the final three games of the regular season and the Vikings' first playoff game for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing substances, was reinstated on Monday. Henderson has a roster exemption that will expire next Monday.
