We had very brief access to practice today at Winter Park but as the session opened the Vikings had Benny Sapp at left cornerback and Antoine Winfield playing inside in the nickel. That's how the Vikings used the two in their regular-season finale against the New York Giants.
Winfield continues to recover from an injury to his right foot and at this point might be better served to continue getting limited snaps in the nickel. Coach Brad Childress said Wednesday that Winfield would play some on the outside as well Sunday but we'll have to wait and see how that works.
No players were missing as practice opened today. That meant fullback Naufahu Tahi, who sat out Thursday because of a back injury, will at least take part in a portion of today's session.
