Frazier to interview for Seahawks job after all

Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier will interview for the Seattle Seahawks head coaching job on Saturday in Minneapolis, according to NFL sources.
This comes despite a report earlier Friday by ESPN that Frazier had been asked to interview for the position but declined the request. The Seattle job opened Friday afternoon when Jim Mora was fired after the Seahawks went 5-11 in his only season as coach. According to ESPN, the Seahawks already have targeted Pete Carroll for the job and want to hire the Southern Cal coach.
Frazier interviewed for the Buffalo Bills head coaching job on Thursday in Minneapolis, the sixth head coaching position for which he has interviewed in the past three years (Atlanta, Miami, Denver, Detroit and St. Louis). Frazier was a finalist in Denver and St. Louis last offseason.
The report that Frazier declined to talk to the Seahawks did not come as a surprise given that if Seattle really is going after Carroll the reason for talking to Frazier likely would be to satisfy the NFL's Rooney Rule. That rule states that a team must interview at least one minority candidate before hiring a coach.
Despite the fact the Vikings are in the playoffs, Frazier can interview for jobs this week because the team has a bye week.
