We now know the plan for injured cornerback Antoine Winfield in Sunday's game against the Giants and it's an interesting one.

Earlier in the week we had heard Winfield might play only in the nickel defense because of the injury to his right foot that has slowed him in the past two games, but according to ESPN's Rachel Nichols he will also play in short-yaradge situations. That means he will play significant snaps and is an update from an earlier report this morning that Winfield would only play in short-yardage situations.

As for the Giants, reports that are that running back Ahmad Bradshaw will play despite the fact he will be operating on two injured feet.

Update: Tight end Visanthe Shiancoe (thigh) is out on the field testing out his injury (9:52 a.m.) as athletic trainer Eric Sugarman watches. Inactives are due at 10:30 a.m. Already have been told that nose tackle Pat Williams intends to play today after missing last Monday's game in Chicago. NFL Network reports that Giants defensive end Justin Tuck (knee) will play.
