Anthony Herrera didn't want to talk too much about his concussion today in the locker room, but the right guard said he expects to play Sunday night against the Cardinals.

Asked how he is feeling, Herrera said, "I'm good. Everything is smooth."

Herrera missed Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears after suffering a concussion late in the Seattle game, but he said he wants to play against the Cardinals.

"I'll play," he said. "I'm up."

Herrera said he suffered one concussion in college but this is the first in his six-year NFL career.

Herrera had some interesting comments during an interview with Sirius NFL Radio on Tuesday. Herrera was asked about comments Pittsburgh wide receiver Hines Ward made about quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who missed the Steelers game against Baltimore because of a concussion

Ward said that the Steelers locker room was divided over whether Roethlisberger should have played through the injury. Ward later apologized to his quarterback. "Hines is being selfish," Herrera said on Sirius. "Honestly and truly, in our locker room no one questioned my toughness or whether I could play or not. They knew it was a concussion and it was bigger than just football. "That's why you see all these [former players] right now at 50 years old who are suffering from all kinds of different things. They put football ahead of themselves. That's not how it should be. ... Everyone knows Ben is a tough guy. Look how many hits he takes, the way he plays. You can't challenge a man and say that about a guy who has proven the type of player he is." Herrera declined to elaborate today. "You saw the transcript," he said. "I don't want to make anything bigger than what it is. It"s cool."
