Brett Favre will hold his weekly news conference today and one topic certain to come up is his next milestone.

The 40-year-old quarterback will play in his 282 consecutive game Sunday against the Chicago Bears, tying Jim Marshall for the most consecutive games played in NFL history by a position player.

Favre broke Marshall's record for consecutive starts earlier this season and will start his 280 consecutive regular game on Sunday.

Here are a few other stats:

  • Rookie Percy Harvin leads the NFC and ranks third in the NFL with 1,471 all-purpose yards (46 rush, 501 receiving, 924 kickoff return).
  • Favre has registered a 100-plus quarterback rating seven times in 10 games. The team record is eight (Culpepper in 2000 and 2004, and Cunningham in 1998).
  • The Vikings are tied for second in the NFL with 47 plays of least 20 yards.
  • The Vikings have scored at least 30 points six times this season. That already ties for the second-most for a single season in team history. The 1998 team scored 30-plus points 11 times.
  • The defense has given up only three runs of 20-plus yards, which is tied for the lowest in the NFL.
  • The defense has held opponents to 38 three-and-out series on 117 possessions -- 32.5 percent of the time. That's the second-highest percentage in the NFL.
