Pro Bowl cornerback Antoine Winfield said his injured right foot felt good after testing it even more during practice on Friday but he is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against Seattle.
Winfield has missed three-plus games since suffering the injury Oct. 18 against Baltimore. Winfield said earlier this week that he doesn't want to rush things and the fact that he is doubtful makes it seem likely that he will miss one more game and then return next week against Chicago.
Winfield was limited in practice this week. His plan is to test it early Sunday morning before making a final decision.
"I get two days to rest," Winfield said Friday after practice. "I'll get out there and work on Sunday morning and see how it feels. If it's good, I'll be out there."
Winfield said last week that he still experienced some pain when he planted and made cuts. That was the case again this week until Friday. He said he felt much better doing that on Friday.
"It felt good today," he said. "We were in the red zone. It was kind of sore (Thursday). It was my first time really doing it. It felt kind of sore. But right now I'm good."
