Hello Vikings Fans!

Wow what an amazing past weekend! Vikes are 8 – 1!! This is our year, yes!

Here are some reasons why last weekend was so amazing!

Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the MOA Vikings Locker Room

Thank you so much to the fans that stopped by the Vikings Locker Room this past Saturday afternoon. It was incredible to meet all of you from around the USA and Canada! A shout out to, Milton, from the east coast, who flies in for EVERY home Vikings game! Wow, now that’s dedication!  Sarah (2009 Pro Bowl Cheerleader, team captain, my sister) and I had an AB FAB time taking pictures with you, chatting about our beloved Vikes, and autographing our 2009 – 2010 Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders Swimsuit Calendars.

Sunday: Game Day vs. the Lions (Here Kitty, Kitty)

It was so great to be back in game mode at the dome after 3 full Sundays off.  Our game on Sunday was truly a win-win for us!

Win: Vikings tackle the Lions to bring us to 8 – 1
.

Win: Our game was dedicated to our military.

This season the 2009 MVC team captains (Ellie, Kara, Sarah, Pamela, myself) along with our coach, Tami, choreographed an end zone performance as a tribute to our military.  We boogied to, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy during the 2nd half in the north end zone! Each small team represented a branch of the military as we sported our brand new military costumes. My small team, the Sideline Sorties, (Erin, Alysia, Natalie, Andrea, Jessica, Kelly) represented the Air Force.

Before we ran out of the tunnel our coach, Tami, asked the MVC to raise their hand if they had family who is serving or has served in a branch of the military. Nearly each MVC raised their hand.  It was moment for us to reflect and truly take in the significance of how our military does have an impact on our lives. It is because of their sacrifice and courage we were able to follow our dreams as professional NFL Cheerleaders and live our lives in peace.

It was inspiration and truly a honor to have our military participate in game day starting lineup, join us in the stands, on the field and even on a live stream from Iraq!

Watching the live video from Iraq on the jumbo screen during the game brought me back to the Super Sunday Tour Sarah and I took to Iraq in 2008. It was a blessing to be selected to represent the MVC, Vikings Organization, Minnesotans, and civilians as we traveled to the Iraqi warzone to thank our troops face to face and bring a sense of  home and normalcy to them as they fought (and continue to fight) for our freedom 24 /7.  We even had the chance take in the 2008 Super Bowl at Camp Victory & Liberty during our visit.

We are truly blessed to have the support and sacrifice of our military troops and their families so that we can be at the dome on game day to cheer for our Vikings and continue to live in the land of the free!

Thank you and God Bless!

So coming off a great weekend and week I am even more excited to go into this weekend’s game and events!  Here’s to another great weekend ahead!

See you at the dome this Sunday when we take on the Seahawks for a noon kick off.
