The Vikings will return to Winter Park today after a couple of days of rest following last Sunday's victory over the Detroit Lions. Off to their first 8-1 start since the 1998 season (sorry to bring that up), the Vikings will play host to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

The Seahawks (3-6) aren't great but they certainly will be more competitive than the feeble Lions. The Vikings cruised to a 31-13 victory over Seattle in 2006 but overall the Seahawks hold a 6-4 edge in this series and the teams are 2-2 in games played in Minnesota.

Overall, the Vikings are looking for their 18th victory in the past 22 regular-season games.

A couple of individual things to keep an eye on in this one:

-- Adrian Peterson needs only 44 rushing yards to break into the top 10 for the most rushing yards in the first three NFL seasons. Peterson, who currently has 4,018 yards on the ground, trails Eddie George's 4,061 for 10th place.

-- With a passer rating of 100-plus, Brett Favre will collect his 101st career game with a passer rating of 100 or greater. Favre's teams are 92-8 in his 100 career games with a 100-plus rating.

Favre and coach Brad Childress will have their news conferences late this morning so make sure to check back for updates.
