Adrian Peterson's 133-yard rushing effort on Sunday has moved him into second place in the NFL in rushing behind Tennessee's Chris Johnson.

Johnson has 1,091 yards this season after gaining 132 yards on 26 carries on Sunday against Buffalo. He is 174 yards ahead of Peterson, who has 917 yards on 181 carries.

Peterson led the NFL in rushing last season with 1,760 yards but might have a tough time catching Johnson if the Titans' second-year back remains this hot. Johnson has rushed for more than 100 yards in his past four games, including a 228-yard effort on Nov. 1 against Jacksonville.

Peterson is 2 yards up on St. Louis' Steven Jackson (917-915).

The Vikings, by the way, are now seventh in total offense with an average of 369.1 yards per game. They are 12th in passing (246.7 yards per game) and 10th in rushing (122.4).
