PITTSBURGH -- Wide receiver Percy Harvin will be active for today's game against the Steelers despite having a shoulder injury that caused him to be listed as questionable on the injury report for a second consecutive week.

Harvin originally hurt his left shoulder on Oct. 11 at St. Louis but was able to play last week against Baltimore. Harvin re-injured the shoulder returning a fourth-quarter kickoff against the Ravens last Sunday. Harvin was limited in practice last. It remains to be seen whether he will return kickoffs today. Given the hits a player can take at that spot it would not be surprising to see Jaymar Johnson used in that role.

Also inactive for the Vikings will be cornerback Antoine Winfield; running back Albert Young; linebacker Erin Henderson; center Jon Cooper; wide receiver Darius Reynaud (hamstring); defensive end Jayme Mitchell; and defensive tackle Letroy Guion. The Vikings third quarterback today will be Sage Rosenfels.

The Vikings are not officially listing a starter in Winfield's spot, saying it might be Benny Sapp or Karl Paymah. It's a possibility that the Vikings could open in the nickel, meaning Sapp and Paymah could be on the field to open the game. Rookie corner Asher Allen also is active for the first time this season.

The Steelers inactives include wide receiver Limas Sweed; cornerback Keenan Lewis; fullback Carey Davis; linebacker Andre Frazier; guard Kraig Urbik; offensive tackle Tony Hills; and defensive end Sunny Harris. Dennis Dixon is the Steelers' third quarterback.

Frazier (thigh) is the only player who was on the Steelers' injury report who won't play today. Safety Troy Polamalu (knee) will start.

UPDATE: It's worth noting that Percy Harvin is catching kickoffs in warmups from Ryan Longwell.
