When Pro Bowl guard Steve Hutchinson did not take part in Tuesday's light practice, the assumption was that he was getting the day off along with fellow veterans Brett Favre and Jim Kleinsasser. But apparently something was wrong.

We now know that because Hutchinson was a spectator again today during the portion of the Vikings' practice that was open to the media. We will find out what's wrong when the team's first injury report of week is issued later today.

Wide receiver Darius Reynaud, the Vikings' primary punt return man who suffered a hamstring injury on Sunday against San Francisco, was on the field today but also was not taking part in any drills. Reynaud has expressed confidence he will play on Monday night against Green Bay but that decision will be up to the team's medical staff.

Finally, backup linebacker Erin Henderson was on the field and taking part in practice after being sidelined since the final preseason game because of a calf injury.

I'm about to jump on the live chat and help out Chip so did join us for the remainder of the hour.

By the way right now, Aaron Rodgers is on the conference call with Twin Cities reporters. When it comes to the topic of Favre, he is keeping it very brief. Not much fun for the media but probably a smart move.
