These 4 games are from the author's memory, which means that any games from the 60's thru early 80's are out (my college years in the 90's are a bit of a haze, but I'm playing some Pink Floyd right now in the hopes of inducing a flashback). I'm going to start with my least favorite memories on Tuesday and Wednesday. Being the eternal source of positivity that I am, I will save the best games for last.

Horrible, terrible, awful game #1 (Dishman runs away with the spoon - but forgets the football):

2 things made this moment especially heinous:

  1. It was on Monday Night Football back when broadcasters were all in their "Brett, when this game is over, I think you and me should get an apartment together" prime. The media love for Favre - how annoying did that used to be? Strange how it isn't quite so much anymore.
  2. That game cost the Vikes homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. They may not have won the Super Bowl that year, but I guarantee this doesn't happen.

Deep (Purple) thought for the day:

The Vikings need to find a way to get Percy Harvin the ball more. How fast did he look on that kickoff return? They did try a reverse to him on Sunday that lost about 50 yards. But from the semi-nosebleeds, it looked like the guy that got him was the only defender who had a chance. I think that play goes to the house at some point this year. If the Packers blitz, I'd love to see them try a quick slant to Percy. Favre hits him in stride for a quick 6!
