Four of the Vikings five draft picks have seen action in the first two games. Percy Harvin and Phil Loadholt obviously hold key roles on offense. Backup middle linebacker Jasper Brinkley has played on special teams.

Seventh-round pick Jamarca Sanford made his debut last week after being inactive in the opener. Third-round pick Asher Allen has been inactive the first two games.

Sanford got the nod last week over Husain Abdullah against the Detroit Lions. He stepped in late in the game at safety when Madieu Williams left briefly after getting shaken up on a tackle. "We are comfortable with Jamarca," defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier said. "He had a great training camp for us and did a good job in the preseason. The thing you are always aware of is lack of experience. That is a tough deal as a rookie defensive back. He's a guy who has shown great knowledge of being able to grasp our system and what we expect and he plays fast. You never have to wonder if there is ever going to be a hesitation in his game and because of that we just trust him when he gets out there. He's not going to be intimidated by the lights and slow down. The couple of plays he got in he did a good job for us and that is one of the reasons he was dressing that weekend."
