While Vikings general manager Rick Spielman is interviewing 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman in Charlotte on Saturday, a report has surfaced about the status another candidate possibly getting a second interview next week.

Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer is expected to interview again with the Vikings early next week, according to ESPN’s Adam Caplan. Zimmer first interviewed with the Vikings for the head coaching position on Wednesday and was expected to be one of three possible finalists.

Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowles is also expected to be a finalist, but the Vikings haven’t spoken to Bowles as of Saturday afternoon about a second interview, Fritz Pollard Alliance Chairman John Wooten said.
