With Harvin again doubtful, Frazier not second guessing decision to keep him playing in Seattle

After holding Percy Harvin out of a Week 10 home game against Detroit, the Vikings felt strongly that the bye week rest plus consistent treatment to Harvin’s sprained left ankle would expedite his recovery. But now Harvin is likely to miss his third consecutive game when the Vikings face the Packers on Sunday at Lambeau Field.
Harvin did not participate in Friday’s practice and has been officially labeled as doubtful for Sunday’s showdown in Green Bay. Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said his top receiver did “some drills catching the football” Friday but nothing in the team setting.
Harvin is still unable to move the way he’s accustomed to.
“Not the cutting that we’d like to be able to see,” Frazier said. “It seems like the ability to push off and change direction is giving him a little bit of trouble.”
It is not yet known whether Harvin will join the team on its trip to Green Bay. He stayed back in the Twin Cities last week as the Vikings went to Chicago.
“No real setbacks,” Frazier said. “He just hasn’t made the improvement that we’d hoped.”
Given how long it’s taking for Harvin to bounce back, Frazier was asked if he had any second thoughts on sending the dynamic receiver back into the game in the fourth quarter in Seattle on Nov. 4.
“Not at all,” Frazier responded. “No. No.”
Harvin was playing through a tweaked right hamstring that afternoon and sprained his left ankle late in the third quarter against the Seahawks. But he tried to tough things out several times and seemed to bother the ankle on a handful of plays late in the game.
“We felt like he could go back in and participate,” Frazier explained. “And he did and finished the game. That was the thought process.”
The Vikings' playoff hopes could disintegrate completely if Harvin is out much longer. His doubtful status for Sunday is another big blow.
