The Vikings' coaching shake-up is now complete with the team officially announcing the hiring of Alan Williams as defensive coordinator and Brendan Daly as defensive line coach this afternoon.

Williams spent the last 10 seasons as the defensive backs coach in Indianapolis. Daly spent his past three seasons as the defensive line coach with the Rams. Prior to that, he spent three seasons as a defensive line assistant with the Vikings.

"Alan and Brendan have both proved themselves as quality coaches in our League," Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said in a statement. "I had the chance to work directly with both men and can't say enough about their character, work ethic and ability to connect with players and push them to be their best." Both Frazier and Williams will be speak to the media via a conference call later this afternoon. For more biographical detail on Williams and Daly, the official announcement is at Vikings.com. It's also worth pointing out that Fred Pagac, the team's defensive coordinator this past season, will remain with the team as the linebackers coach. Mike Singletary, meanwhile, will assist with the linebackers while also retaining his official title as special assistant to the head coach.
