Speaking to reporters in the locker room today, quarterback Donovan McNabb denied harsh accusations made against him in an NFL.com report by former NFL executive Michael Lombardi.

Lombardi wrote, "McNabb is at a point in his career that he doesn not seem to want to put in the time, is willing to show up late for meetings and practice, and expects to just play well."

McNabb's response: "Ridiculous."

"I'm here, one of the first guys in the building and the last to leave," said McNabb, who lost his starting job to rookie Christian Ponder. "For any of that to come out is ridiculous. I think the way I've gone about it, I would ask you guys to obviously talk to [offensive coordinator] Bill [Musgrave], talk to [quarterbacks coach] Craig Johnson, talk to [coach] Leslie [Frazier].

"They'll tell you I haven't missed a practice. I haven't missed a meeting. ... You know, it's just another challnge throughout my career of, you hear sources. I would challenge those sources to come out and make it public because it's definitely not true."
