The Vikings officially entered the Christian Ponder era Wednesday afternoon with five players, including three offensive starters missing practice. Wide receiver Percy Harvin did not participate due to rib soreness while offensive linemen John Sullivan (concussion) and Phil Loadholt (knee) were also held out.

Safety Jamarca Sanford also sat out Wednesday's drills as he recovers from a concussion. His status for next Sunday's game is up in the air. And third-string quarterback Joe Webb was also a no-show Wednesday due to an excused family absence.

Cornerback Antoine Winfield, meanwhile, was on the practice field for the first time this month. Winfield missed the Vikings' last two games with neck stiffness but was able to participate on a limited basis Wednesday. The Vikings' other limited participants were linebackers E.J. Henderson (knee) an Kenny Onatolu (hamstring).

In Green Bay, several notable players were banged up Wednesday as well. Linebacker Clay Matthews (quadriceps) and cornerback Sam Shields (concussion) were held out of practice. Safety Morgan Burnett (hand) and corner Charles Woodson (foot and knee) were limited participants.
