The Vikings are interested in signing CFL defensive end Phillip Hunt, according to Adam Caplan of Fox Sports.
Hunt, who led the CFL with 16 sacks while playing for Winnipeg in 2010, was one of four CFL players who worked out for the Vikings on Dec. 18.
He spent time with the Cleveland Browns in 2009 after being signed as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Houston. He was let go by the Browns after only one preseason game. Hunt also has worked out for Cleveland, Houston, New England and Philadelphia.
