Last season, the Vikings had four players named first-team All-Pro named after a 12-4 season. This season, the Vikings were blanked in the Associated Press voting after a 6-10 finish.

Running back Adrian Peterson, the only Vikings player voted to the Pro Bowl, received six votes in the All-Pro voting, placing him behind Houston's Arian Foster (45 votes), Kansas City's Jamaal Charles (33) and Atlanta's Michael Turner (eight). Defensive end Jared Allen received two votes and guard Steve Hutchinson and cornerback Antoine Winfield had one apiece.

Last season, Peterson, Hutchinson, defensive tackle Kevin Williams and Allen were all named to the first team. Gaining All-Pro recognition is special because there is only one team named and it includes players from both conferences.

Meanwhile, the Vikings made it official today that Winfield has been added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster. He will replace Tramon Williams of the Green Bay Packers. Williams, selected last week as an injury replacement for Philadelphia's Asante Samuel, can't take part in Sunday's all-star game because the Packers are going to the Super Bowl.

Winfield joins former Vikings cornerback Carl Lee as the only cornerbacks in team history to reach the Pro Bowl three times in their career. Lee was named to the game from 1988 through 1990.
