Two media outlets in Canada reported Saturday that the Vikings are close to signing B.C. Lions wide receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux, who played college football at Alcorn State.

A Vancouver radio station reported that Arceneaux has agreed to terms on a three-year deal. Vikings director of player personnel George Paton told TSN that the deal is not complete but the team hopes to finalize things on Monday. We've confirmed the team is still trying to iron out the final details of the deal.

UPDATE: Arceneaux confirmed on his twitter account that he is going to sign with the Vikings.

UPDATE II: Arceneaux's agent confirmed that the three-year deal is agreed upon but won't be signed until Monday. The contract could be worth $1.8 million with incentives, according to his agent.

Arceneaux reportedly worked out for eight NFL teams since December and had narrowed his list to the Vikings, Bears, Dolphins and Seahawks, according to TSN,

Arceneaux (6-2, 211 pounds) caught 67 passes for 1,114 yards and five touchdowns this season. In two seasons in the CFL, he had 130 catches for 1,972 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Also, several outlets are reporting that former Vikings offensive line coach Pat Morris has been hired by the Tampa Bay Bucs in the same role.
