Bernard Berrian wasn't kidding when he called 2010 "a very tough year." The wide receiver had only 28 receptions for 247 yards and did not have a touchdown in 14 games and nine starts. Those totals were his lowest since 2005, when he caught 13 passes for 246 yards with no touchdowns in 11 games with Chicago. That was only Berrian's second season in the NFL and at the time he wasn't in the midst of the six-year, $42 million ($16 million guaranteed) free-agent contract he signed with the Vikings in 2008. Berrian was due to make $23 million in his first three years with the Vikings and with his contract having three seasons left there has been speculation Berrian could be released. But Berrian said Monday that he expects to be back in Minnesota. He was optimistic after his exit meeting with coach Leslie Frazier saying he felt great about their talk. Berrian's plan is to spend some time relaxing and then start his workout progream in about two weeks. "It was definitely a tough year for the team, it was tough year personally," he said. "It was pretty evident, I think you guys saw what happened out there this year." Asked about his main source of frustration, Berrian said: "I don't even want to worry about all that. It's all in the past. I'm worried about 2011. ... This season's over. We put the stamp on that and very excited to get back to work and start next year on a good note."
