DETROIT -- If this is really the last game of Brett Favre's NFL career he's going to spend it on the sideline.

The quarterback passed the first stage of his concussion test but he didn't make enough progress to be active for today's game against the Lions at Ford Field. Favre suffered the concussion on Dec. 20 against the Bears and wasn't active for last Tuesday's game at Philadelphia.

Favre, completing his 20th NFL season, has said this will be it for him. Of course, he's also retired twice before only to change his mind. Rookie quarterback Joe Webb will make his second start in a row for the Vikings.

The Vikings also will be without wide receiver Sidney Rice (concussion).

Wide receiver Juaquin Iglesias, signed by the Vikings on Saturday off the Bears practice squad, also is inactive. The Vikings wide receivers today will be Bernard Berrian, Percy Harvin, Greg Camarillo, Hank Baskett and Greg Lewis. Berrian was added to the injury report as questionable on Saturday but will play after going through a pregame workout.

Cornerback Asher Allen (abdomen) also is out for today, meaning Frank Walker will start at the right corner and Lito Sheppard is likely to play full-time in the nickel defense.

Also inactive for the Vikings are Rhett Bomar (third QB), linebacker Erin Henderson (concussion), tackle Thomas Welch and defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy.

For the Lions, Calvin Johnson will play despite being listed as questionable.

The Lions inactives are Zac Robinson (third QB), running back Aaron Brown, cornerback Chris Houston (shoulder), safety Randy Phillips, defensive end Barry Turner, tackle Tony Ugoh, guard Donald Thomas and linebacker Julian Peterson.
