Frazier's desire to return increased by trying times

PHILADELPHIA -- Vikings interim coach Leslie Frazier has been reluctant to talk about the future, but as he managed the latest crisis situation involving his team on Monday he made it clear he woud like to be back in 2011.
“I know I’d like to return and what we’ve gone through, for sure, you’d like to see what things would be like if we can get our squad together and keep some guys healthy and line up and play," Frazier said in the lobby of the downtown Philadelphia hotel at which the Vikings are staying after they went through a walkthrough at the Eagles' practice facility.
Frazier took over when Brad Childress was fired after the Vikings' 31-3 loss on Nov. 21. The Vikings won their first two games under Frazier before the roof caved in on the Metrodome and all heck broke loose.
In the past three weeks, the Vikings have played a "home" game in Detroit that was moved to Monday night, had a game moved to TCF Bank Stadium because the Dome couldn't be repaired quick enough and now had a game delayed by two days in Philadelphia because of a snowstorm that Minnesota residents would have laughed at.
"You wouldn’t believe that we’re going to experience what we’re experiencing right now from an adversity standpoint a year from now," Frazier said. "Not as consistently as we have. You wouldn’t think that this would happen. I saw a number where it said this was the seventh time since 2004 a game had been moved and we’ve been in that situation twice in a two or three-week span. What are the odds of that happening? You would think things would settle down and we can just get ready for football. I would love to be a part of the Vikings and see that through for sure.”
Frazier will become a coaching free agent after next Sunday's game in Detroit and a few teams (Denver being one) could come calling.
Asked if there had been any recent conversations with owner Zygi Wilf, Frazier said: “We’ve pretty much been talking about our opponents and other things that we’ve had to deal with, like what we’re dealing with now, as opposed to job status. We’ll see what happens.”
