Favre doing 'scout' team work

We'll have to wait to see how Brett Favre is listed on the injury report by the Vikings when it's issued later today -- and then we'll have to wait to see if that changes before kickoff on Sunday night in Philadelphia -- but as of now we can tell you that it looks as if the quarterback will not work with the first team for a third consecutive day of practice.
Favre suffered a concussion last Monday night against Chicago and as of Thursday had yet to pass his baseline test, meaning he could not practice with the team. Today, Favre was on the field providing looks from a linebacker position as a member of the scout team.
Rookie Joe Webb has gotten the looks with the first team this week and at this point is in line to start on Sunday. However, Favre can continue taking the test through Saturday so there's always a chance.
Meanwhile, safeties Madieu Williams (concussion) and Tyrell Johnson (knee) continued to sit out and almost certainly will not play on Sunday. Look for Jamarca Sanford to get the start at safety. He sat out last Monday because of a concussion. Cornerback Frank Walker, limited the past two days in practice because of a hamstring injury, was not taking part in the portion of the session the media was allowed to watch.
This could mean former Eagles cornerback Lito Sheppard will see extensive time at the left corner on Sunday in the nickel package when Antoine Winfield moves inside.
Also of note, defensive tackle Kevin Williams returned after missing Thursday's practice to deal with a personal issue.
