Brett Favre was on the field during the brief portion of practice that is open to the media Friday but we did not see him throw any meaningful passes.
Favre gingerly threw a few passes before the practice began and as most of his teammates went through stretching. One pass went to quarterbacks coach Kevin Rogers, another to head athletic trainer Eric Sugarman. We're talking light, light stuff here, folks.
As practice opened, Favre took four snaps with the first-team offense during what amounts to a walk-though period. He handed off twice to Adrian Peterson, both handoffs were done lefthanded, and then Favre dropped back twice but did not make any throws that would have tested his sprained right shoulder.
We'll get an update from Vikings interim coach Leslie Frazier after practice but I'm willing to bet this thing goes up to Sunday morning.
Also, wide receiver Percy Harvin was not on the field again as he continues to deal with migraines. Frazier was optimistic earlier this week that Harvin would play but that seems like a long shot now. Also out were guard Steve Hutchinson (broken thumb), safety Tyrell Johnson (knee) and cornerback Chris Cook (knees).
Hutchinson could be replaced by rookie Chris DeGeare at left guard for the second consecutive game. Johnson and Cook could be declared out as early as today.
