LANDOVER, MD. -- Vikings wide receiver Bernard Berrian and cornerback Chris Cook both will be inactive for today's game at Washington.

Berrian has been dealing with a groin injury that kept him out of the Vikings' loss at Chicago two weeks ago -- Berrian was active for the game but did not play -- and last Sunday Berrian played the opening series against Green Bay but aggravated the injury and only was in for one more play.

Cook, meanwhile, was added to the injury report because of a knee issue on Friday and was listed as questionable on the injury report. Cook has torn the meniscus in both of his knees this season and had arthroscopic surgery that sidelined him.

Cook struggled in the Vikings' 31-3 loss to the Packers and was benched for the second time in as many games against Green Bay this season. It's expected that Antoine Winfield and Asher Allen will start at left and right cornerback, respectively. Either Lito Sheppard or Frank Walker will play in the nickel defense.

The Vikings other inactives include Joe Webb (third quarterback); safety Jamarca Sanford (hamstring); running back Albert Young; safety Eric Frampton (hamstring); defensive tackle Fred Evans; and offensive lineman Pat Brown.

This means interim coach Leslie Frazier has linebacker Erin Henderson active for a game for the first time in five weeks. Henderson will be asked to contribute on special teams with both Sanford and Frampton out.

Wide receiver Sidney Rice (hip) also will play again today after being held out of practice Thursday as a precaution. Rice was limited on Friday. Ryan Cook will get the start at right guard in place of the injured Anthony Herrera (ACL).

Inactive for the Redskins are John Beck (third quarterback); safety LaRon Landry (Achilles); safety Macho Harris; running back Andre Brown; running back Ryan Torain (hamstring); guard Derrick Dockery; and defensive lineman Anthony Bryant and Jeremy Jarmon.

Wide receiver Santana Moss (knee) is active for the game.
