Randy Moss was awarded to the Tennessee Titans on waivers Wednesday, according to multiple reports.

The Vikings placed Moss on waivers Tuesday after he played only four games in his return to Minnesota. Moss caught 13 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns after being obtained in a trade from the Patriots on Oct. 6. He had only one reception for 8 yards in the Vikings' 28-18 loss to New England on Sunday and afterward gave a rambling news conference in which he did not take questions, criticized the Vikings and praised the Patriots.

The next day Moss was let go by the Vikings in a move that the team elected to address only in a short press release until Wednesday.

The Titans will be Moss' fourth NFL team, joining the Vikings (1998-2004, 2010); Raiders (2005-2006) and Patriots (2007-2010). This means 21 teams passed on an opportunity to claim Moss. The Titans were No. 22 on the waiver claim list.

While the Vikings have lost their third-round pick in 2011, they are off the hook for Moss' salary. The Titans will owe Moss the balance of his salary, a figure that will be $3.388 million.
