Brett Favre was not on the field for individual drills Wednesday, but he returned at some point to watch. Favre, in a walking boot, left the field with his teammates after practice was over.
Favre, who has two fractures in his left ankle, and Pro Bowl left guard Steve Hutchinson (quadriceps) were the only two players who did not practice. Hutchinson watched practice and had a sleeve on his right leg.
Vikings who were limited Wednesday were offensive guard Chris DeGeare (ankle), defensive tackle Letroy Guion (hamstring), cornerback Lito Sheppard, center John Sullivan (calf) and defensive tackle Pat Williams (quadriceps).
Safety Husain Abdullah (concussion) and cornerback Chris Cook (knee) had full participation.
The Patriots had five players who did not practice: safeties Patrick Chung (knee) and Jarrad Page (calf), wide receiver Matthew Slater (ankle), running back Fred Taylor (toe) and nose tackle Vince Wilfork (not injury related).
Quarterback Tom Brady (right shoulder) had full participation.
