Brian Robison suffered a sprained ankle in the Vikings' loss to the New York Jets on Monday night, according to a post on his Twitter page.

Wrote Robison: "Update for you guys. Sprained ankle. I will work through the week 2 get it better. Thanks for ur support and prayers. I have the best tweeps."

Robison is a valuable backup lineman who can play both the end positions and also inside at times on passing downs. Robison injured his right ankle in the second quarter Monday. He eventually was taken to the locker room on a cart but returned to the sideline for the second half. However, he did not play again.

Robison said after the game that given a worst-case scenario he probably could have returned. The Vikings next game will be Sunday when they play host to Dallas. The Vikings will begin practicing to get ready for Dallas on Wednesday.
