The Vikings have acquired wide receiver Greg Camarillo from the Miami Dolphins, according to multiple reports. The agent for cornerback Benny Sapp put on his twitter account that his client has been dealt to the Dolphins.

The move comes a day after the team signed veteran free agent Javon Walker and two days after Sidney Rice underwent surgery to repair a hip injury. Rice is expected to be out for at least half the season, if not more.

In a text to Jeff Darlington of the of the Miami Herald, Camarillo said: "Mixed emotions. Great opportunity, but this is home. These teammates are my brothers."

The Vikings have yet to announce the trade. Here are Camarillo's career stats.

Camarillo, 6-1, 190 pounds, played college football at Stanford and was signed by San Diego as an undrafted free agent in 2005. He played the 2006 season with San Diego before being claimed off waivers by the Dolphins in September 2007. He caught eight passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns in 15 games that season.

Camarillo might best be remembered for his 64-yard touchdown catch in overtime from Cleo Lemon on Dec. 16, 2007 against Baltimore that gave the Dolphins their first and only victory of that season.

Camarillo signed a three-year, $5.7 million extension with Miami in November 2008, but his season came to an end after 11 games when he suffered a torn ACL and was placed on injured reserve. He had a career-high 55 receptions for 613 yards and two touchdown that year and last season caught 50 passes for 552 yards in 16 games.

Camarillo's contract runs through 2011 and he is due to make base salaries of $1.3 million in 2010 and $1.7 million in 2011. Camarillo has the ability to play both in the slot and outside and also can contribute on special teams.

Sapp was signed by the Vikings as a free agent in 2008 after four seasons with Kansas City. He played in 14 regular-season games in 2008 and 16 last year. Sapp became a key part of the Vikings defense, assuming the nickel role after Charles Gordon was injured in 2008. Sapp started seven games last season in part because of the broken foot that veteran Antoine Winfield suffered six games into the season.

The Vikings signed Sapp to a two-year, $4.2 million contract during the offseason that included $1.5 million guaranteed. Sapp missed extensive time during training camp in Mankato after suffering from dehydration during an early practice.

The Vikings had depth at cornerback before the trade and Sapp appeared in jeopardy of being released. Asher Allen and Lito Sheppard are competing for the job at right corner with Cedric Griffin out because of an ACL injury. Antoine Winfield is the starter at the right corner and rookie Chris Cook has impressed.

As for today's practice report, Percy Harvin was back on the field for the first time since collapsing last Thursday after suffering from a migraine. Linebacker Chad Greenway also returned after missing one day. Absent were defensive end Jared Allen, linebacker Kenny Onatolu, defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy and wide receiver Ray Small.

The Vikings are believed to be in the process of putting Small on waivers.
