PERFORMANCE

Grade: B+

Ho-hum. Favre throws for 344 yards and hardly anyone bats an eye. That's how consistently good the 40-year-old has been. Favre continued to make good decisions (no interceptions) and his chemistry with Sidney Rice is sky-high.

THIS WEEK'S "CLASSIC FAVRE" MOMENT

Favre showed he still has plenty of life left in his right arm with several deep throws to Rice, including his 56-yard bomb on the first play of the fourth quarter. Favre used a play-action fake to freeze the safeties, then waited, waited, waited for Rice to create separation. Favre reached back and launched the ball 60 yards before Rice grabbed it while falling.

HIS BEST MOMENT

Favre took full advantage of a free play when Lions LB Larry Foote jumped offside in the second quarter. Favre recognized that Rice had a one-on-one matchup with Phillip Buchanon so he fired a pass off one foot and Rice hauled in the 43-yard reception.

WORST MOMENT

Favre didn't force things very often, but his short pass to Rice in the third quarter with three Lions defenders in the area was dangerous. The ball got deflected.

THE QUOTE KING

"Part of this game is being able to trust guys. I handed it off to Adrian a couple of times today going, 'There is no way he is getting more then a yard out of this,' and he ends up getting 30, 40. There is a trust factor that you got to hand him the ball sometimes, and even when there is too many in the box. There is a trust factor that if they double-cover you or the guy plays high over the top, and it's a fade route that he'll make it right. ... I'm more disappointed with some of the ones that I missed today. I threw a back-shoulder play to Bernard [Berrian] on one and threw it a little bit too high. I didn't give him a chance. On the ones with Sidney, I gave him a chance."
