FINAL EIGHT
The Vikings have a three-game lead on Chicago and Green Bay in the NFC North with eight games remaining. They have yet to play the Bears, but have swept the Packers.
Detroit (1-7), Sunday: Lions rookie QB Matthew Stafford threw five interceptions Sunday at Seattle.
Seattle (3-5), Nov. 22: The Seahawks are winless on the road, but QB Matt Hasselbeck is (relatively) healthy again.
Chicago (4-4), Nov. 29: Unexpectedly, the Bears are one of the worst rushing teams in the NFL.
At Arizona (5-3), Dec. 6: The enigmatic Cardinals live and die with Kurt Warner's passing effectiveness.
Cincinnati (6-2), Dec. 13: Cedric Benson's re-emergence has helped, but tough run defense is just as important.
At Carolina (3-5), Dec. 20: Another disappointing season for a team possessing a great rushing attack.
At Chicago (4-4), Dec. 28: Monday Nighter could be Vikings' only real brutal-weather game this season.
New York Giants (5-4), Jan. 3: Eli Manning & Co. could be in real fight for playoff berth in finale.
