Can the Chargers keep rolling?

Trying to join the 1992 Chargers as the only team to start 0-4 and make the playoffs, the 2017 Chargers head to New England with a chance to even their record at 4-4. Philip Rivers has thrown six TD passes and only one interception the past three weeks. Meanwhile, after dropping to last in the league in scoring defense through Week 4, the 5-2 Patriots have allowed only 38 points the past three weeks.

Two hot defenses in the Bayou

Who knew Mitch Trubisky would jump-start the Bears … defensively? He has completed a grand total of 12 passes the past two weeks, but the Bears went 2-0. The Bears travel to New Orleans, where the Saints are going for their first five-game winning streak since 2013. Drew Brees has been good, but the Saints defense is sharing the spotlight after another strong outing enabled them to control the Packers in Brett Hundley's starting debut.

Bills, Raiders in wild-card hunt?

Oakland is in a similar spot, two games out in the AFC West even after beating the Chiefs in Kansas City last week.

He's 6-1 with 17 TDs and four INTs. Those numbers should increase when the Eagles play host to the winless 49ers. San Francisco ranks 25th against the pass and has a defensive passer rating of 98.5.

What's up with Matty Ice?

What in the name of Kyle Shanahan is going on in Atlanta, where the once 3-0 Falcons are 3-3, second in the NFC South and looking miserable offensively under new offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian, Shanahan's replacement. Atlanta faces the Jets after three consecutive losses to AFC East teams. Reigning MVP Matt Ryan has seven TDs and six INTs. And, unbelievably, Julio Jones has one TD and is averaging a career-low 13.7 yards per catch.
