Who might be there at No. 48?

Three running backs who could be available when the Vikings step up in the second round with the 48th overall pick:

D'Onta Foreman, Texas

Impressively agile for a 6-foot, 233-pounder. Led FBS schools with an average of 184.4 yards rushing per game. Had 2,028 yards and 15 touchdowns. Carried the ball 323 times and still averaged 6.3 per carry.

Joe Mixon, Oklahoma

Has it all, including a disturbing surveillance video of him punching a woman in 2014. In a risk-reward business, GMs have to decide when or if to pull the trigger on a 6-1, 226-pounder with speed, power, production and receiving skills.

Curtis Samuel, Ohio State

Is he a running back? Yes. Is he a receiver? Well, yes. With 1,286 career yards rushing and 1,249 receiving, he was Urban Meyer's OSU version of what he had with Percy Harvin at Florida. Ran a 4.31 40-yard dash and was the only player in major college football with at least 700 yards rushing and 700 receiving last year.
