Vikings' Tahi deadline today

The Vikings will have to inform fullback Naufahu Tahi today whether they plan to match the one-year, $1.4 million offer sheet Cincinnati signed him to last Friday. The Vikings had seven days in which to make the decision about the restricted free agent.
The Vikings gave Tahi the low tender of $1.01 million at the start of free agency and would get no compensation if he does go to Cincinnati. That's because Tahi was not drafted out of Brigham Young and ended up signing with the Bengals as a free agent. He landed with the Vikings in November 2006 when they signed him off Cincinnati's practice squad.
• The Vikings have yet to officially announce their offseason schedule, but the team will hold its mandatory minicamp May 29-31, according to the ESPN and NFL websites. Their Organized Team Activities will run May 19-22, June 2-5, June 8-11 and June 15-16. The Vikings will begin their offseason program on April 6. Offseason practices are not open to the public.
• University of Arizona tackle Eben Britton is scheduled to have a predraft visit with the Vikings on April 8-9, according to Viking Update. The same website reported Wednesday that Maryland wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey is scheduled to visit Winter Park on the same dates. Unlike many teams, the Vikings bring in all players for visits at the same time.
