The Vikings, desperate for a victory, will have some key players back in the lineup today when they host the Cardinals at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Middle linebacker Eric Kendricks and cornerbacks Captain Munnerlyn, Marcus Sherels and Xavier Rhodes are active today.

A hip injury knocked Kendricks out of last week's loss to the Redskins and Rhodes suffered a concussion. But both were able to practice this week and were expected to play despite being listed as questionable.

Munnerlyn (ankle) and Sherels (wrist) did not play against the Redskins.

Their presence should boost a Vikings defense that has experienced a lull in their last three games as some players are trying to do too much.

Inactive for the Vikings are quarterback Taylor Heinicke, wideout Jarius Wright, linebacker Edmond Robinson, offensive linemen Zac Kerin and Rashod Hill, defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd and tight end David Morgan.

The Cardinals' inactives include star free safety Tyrann Mathieu.

With Jake Long on injured reserve with an Achilles' injury, T.J. Clemmings is listed as the starter at left tackle and Jeremiah Sirles at right tackle.

New kicker Kai Forbath will make his Vikings debut this afternoon.
