Defensive end Everson Griffen is the latest Vikings player to be named the NFC's Defensive Player of the Week, for his performance in Week 3.

In a 22-10 win over the Panthers, Griffen recorded three of the team's eight sacks of Panthers quarterback Cam Newton. The Vikings say he had four tackles and coaches credited him with nine quarterback hurries, too.

This is Griffen's second time winning the weekly award. The first was back in January after the division-clinching win over the Packers at Lambeau.

The undefeated Vikings have won this award twice in three weeks. Middle linebacker Eric Kendricks was the Week 1 DPOW winner following his pick-six against the Titans. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs, meanwhile, was the NFC's Offensive Player of the Week after the Week 2 win over the Packers.
