SUNDAY LUCK
The Eagles (9-6-1) beat the Cowboys 44-6 to earn the final wild-card playoff berth Sunday. To get in, they needed to win and have both Tampa Bay and Chicago lose ... which happened.
WHO'S LAUGHING NOW?
Quarterback Donovan McNabb, right, was mocked in mid-November for not knowing NFL games can end in a tie, then benched the next week during a 36-7 loss to Baltimore. McNabb rebounded with strong performances down the stretch, though, and set a team record for passing yardage (3,916) in a season.
STATS SHOW A WINNER
Entering Sunday's game, the Eagles were eighth in the league in offense (353.7 yards per game) and third in defense (272.7).
OLD HOME WEEK
Vikings coach Brad Childress was an assistant coach from 1999-2005 under Eagles coach Andy Reid, right. He was the offensive coordinator in his final four seasons in Philadelphia.
