Sunday's opponent, the Seattle Seahawks, is trying to claw its way back into the playoff race. A 39-30 victory over Pittsburgh got the Hawks to 6-5 as Russell Wilson threw five touchdown passes. Coach Mike Zimmer often gives players a "Victory Monday" following a win, so most of the players available today will be those getting treatment for injuries … which is to say, a lot of them. Zimmer holds his news conference at 2 p.m.

The Vikings' little nuisance injuries will be piling up when they have to play a Thursday night game in Arizona next week. Back-to-back games against the top teams in the NFC West will require the team to battle the nagging injuries that pop up this time of year … as the playoff races often become a battle of attrition.
