Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who is coming back from a concussion, had not yet been cleared to play in Sunday's game in Oakland as of the end of Friday's practice, according to coach Mike Zimmer.

That said, Zimmer remained confident that Bridgewater would play. "I don't have any doubts,'' Zimmer said.

Bridgewater needs to be cleared by an independent doctor before he's officially cleared to play. He is listed as questionable on the team's injury report.

Here are some other injury updates:

--Zimmer did not say whether he expected linebackers Anthony Barr (hand injury) and Eric Kendricks (ribs) to play Sunday. But it appears Barr is likely to play, Kendricks less so. Barr is listed as questionable while Kendricks is listed as doubtful. After practice ended Barr indicated he was ready to go.

Kendricks saw his first action of the week in Friday's practice.

If Kendricks can't go, it's likely the Vikings would move Chad Greenway inside to middle linebacker and put second-year player Brandon Watts at Greenway's outside linebacker spot. Another option would be to play recently-signed Jason Trusnik in the middle. But it appeared the Vikings were working with Greenway, Watts and Barr in the period of practice open to the media.

--CB Terence Newman, also going through the NFL Concussion protocol, practiced for a second straight day Friday and is listed as probable.

--DT Sharrif Floyd (ankle and knee) practiced fully Friday and is probable. Other defensive linemen listed on the team's injury report were DT Linval Joseph (foot), DE Brian Robison (ankle) and Justin Trattou (foot). Joseph and Robison are probable. Trattou has been ruled out for Sunday.

--CB/returner Marcus Sherels (shoulder) was limited in practice this week and is questionable.

--WR Cordarrelle Patterson (shoulder) is probable.

In one final note, TE Chase Ford has been added to the team's practice squad, replacing S Brock Vereen.
